ACR+Association for Cities and Regions for Recycling and sustainable Resource Management ACR+ has more than 80 members, mainly local government. They share the common aim to promote sustainable consumption of resources and management of waste through prevention at source, re-use and recycling.  
CEMRCouncil of European Municipalities and Regions CEMR is the largest organisation of local and regional government in Europe; its members are national associations of towns, municipalities and regions from over 35 countries. Together these associations represent some 100,000 local and regional authorities.
Climate AllianceThe Climate Alliance of European Cities with Indigenous Rainforest Peoples is an association of European cities and municipalities that have entered into a partnership with indigenous rainforest peoples. Its aim is to preserve the global climate.
Energie Cités

With over 140 members in 24 countries and representing more than 500 towns and cities, Energie-Cités is the association of European local authorities for the promotion of local sustainable energy policies.

ICLEIICLEI's mission is to build and serve a worldwide movement of local governments to achieve tangible improvements in global sustainability with special focus on environmental conditions through cumulative local actions. In Europe more than 180 local governments and their associations are members of ICLEI.
MedcitiesThe Medcities network is a tool to strengthen the environmental management capability of local administration, but it is also useful to identify were a common activation could be the most useful mean to improve regional environmental conditions. 26 Mediterranean cities are a member of the network.
UBCThe Union of the Baltic Cities aim is to promote and strengthen cooperation and exchange of experience among the cities in the Baltic Sea Region. It is a constantly growing organisation with currently 100 members in all ten countries surrounding the Baltic Sea.
WHO Healthy CitiesThe WHO Healthy Cities programme engages local governments in health development through a process of political commitment, institutional change, capacity building, partnership-based planning and innovative projects. Over 1200 cities and towns from more than 30 countries are healthy cities. 
 Italian Association for Local Agenda 21

The Italian Association for Local Agenda 21 consists of mainly Italian local authorities (municipalities, provinces, regions, natural parks, mountain areas, and supporters) whose main aim is to promote principles and practices of Local Agenda 21 and sustainable development and to foster the exchange of information and experiences between its members. The Association has currently more than 400 members.
